I spent my day off doing chores and mucking with music again. I've switched to recording 'Light Be With You,' as it's a shorter, easier song. I am recording one phrase at a time. I have one verse completed out of three.
I was trying to spend more time on Elren when I'm online. I like Derscha a lot, but the altoholic in me likes variety and the freedom to jump into plots Derscha is barred from. Elren I want to level as well, but mainly so she can travel without dying. I'm going to delay fully jumping into her character- there's some OOC stuff going on that means it'll be better if I wait before committing to aplot line with her.
I originally had planned on trying out tanking, or if that was horrible, trying out pally healing. I've either chickened out of tanking, or wisely determined that I don't have time to learn. One of the two.
(Shout out to the blog 'Bravetank'!)
I'm not particularly interested in having Elren join any of the RP guilds I know. Not that they're bad guilds, but just because I like doing "my own thing" right now. The downside is that is harder to find RP, particularly on a realm driven by guild-based RP. Can I successfully RP a toon outside of a guild?
I have a pretty solid idea about what Elren's doing. And I have some some vague ideas for plots. My problem is right now is judging how to right a plot others can be involved in, and hopefully not make Elren the center of action. I'd prefer to drop into the role of "quest giver" if I can. My plan right now is the role-play as a member of the "Azeroth Heritage Society," and maybe create a one-person guild. Or would that ruin the no-guild experiment? Even if that doesn't pan out, she's still going to remain my "music toon."
... no pun intended.
... no pun intended.
In the meantime, I need to focus on just making connections in-game, and seeing if I can contribute to ongoing plots right now.
