My Characters... as Villains

There's been a few posts around the Cenarion Circle community about villains, and requests for villains.  Really, a good villain is needed for a lot of plots, and if you find one, treasure him/her/it.

One day, it might be fun to roll my own villain and see what fun I could stir up.   Right now, though, I feel like I'm busy enough with the three characters I play the most- Derscha, Ketlan, and Kezrin - and don't want to add another.  So it made me wonder: if one of my current characters became a villain, what type would they be?  How would they operate?

Now, I'm not actually interested in turning any of my characters villainous at this time.  None of my characters are villains currently.  However, the question is related to one of my favorite character questions: Who is my character at their worst?  So I had fun thinking about it.

Derscha likes to pretend to be a silly gnome; she'd easily become the "villain with good PR."  Some people might even argue that she already is, since she's the head of an organization with its own goals and standards, has dubious loyalties, and yet is respected by most organizations.  I've mentioned to my friends that Derscha has a Slytherin side; she'll happily interpret rules whichever way will benefit the AAMS.  She would be impersonal, and coldly calculating, but also a little comedic as she couldn't help giggling.

I've thought before that Ketlan has the potential to turn evil.  Like most priests, she struggles with the Shadow side of her powers, but even more so, as she's in an active military unit.   She knows she is capable of tapping those powers, and has used them before without thinking.  She already has rather jaded, pragmatic view of the world for someone who's suppose to be a priest.  All is would take is Ketlan deciding that she's more useful killing people than healing them for her start down the path of darkness.

Ketlan would be a very dark, bitter villain, one who's lost hope in the Light.  She wouldn't be a big schemer, and she'd work alone.  She would more likely tend toward striking against those who've personally wronged her, or targets that have personal meaning.

Kezrin. . .  wouldn't cut it as a big time villain.  She's more of a minion type character.   She'd be the person the villain sends out to do some menial tasks, only to mess it up and give the heroes a vital clue.  I imagine her as a 'punch clock villain' who goes out, does her evil deeds, calls it a day, and then hangs out at the local bar having drinks.  Not much different than what she does now!  (Derscha has a ready-made minion, if she ever turns evil.)

The truth is, I need to find a villain.  One of the problems with doing plots for the AAMS is that we're a neutral organization that avoid conflicts that would make us solidly side with one faction or the other.  That means we're very limited in what types of drama and plots we can launch.   If we had a good villain to work again- or even a rival- it would improve our guild RP.

We have to be careful who we are at odds with, as part of the fun of being the AAMS is taking deliveries for and from villains.  It's possible to have a villain who's completely an NPC and never appears in game, but it's more fun to have someone you can directly interact with.  If it means I need to roll a villain, then so be it!
