Yunhua paused in the hallway. Which door was it? Ah, yes. She found
the staircases leading to the main offices of the Booty Bay
headquarters, nodding to a few of the people as she walked past,
confident that she'd know all their names soon enough.
The other day Olu had promised to show her where to find the assignments
for Shields, but then the Tauren had dashed off, saying something
incomprehensible about "an elf and his bike." However, it wasn't that
difficult to find where the pending deliveries were filed.
Near the stop of the list was a delivery labeled "Special attention
required; TAE." The Pandaren frowned at the acronym; that had not been
in her training manual. Below that was the note, "To Moradinel, from
Kanzelry. Requires Shield." Then an address in Eversong.
Now that did sound vague familiar! She remembered hearing the name
Kanzelry in the offices in relation to taking special orders to
Silvermoon. "So she must need an escort for another delivery," Yunhua
concluded.
She picked up the paperwork and began asking where to find Courier
Kanzelry. She was a bit concerned when she learned there were two, but
then-
"Courier Kanzelry?" The troll repeated. "Ya, you probably be wanting the
little one, Myzzi. Would be explaining why she's in the office today.
Miss Kezrin is busy on leave doin' some such for the boss lady, I think.
Saw her head that way not too long ago."
"Thank you!"
It did not take long after that to find the white haired goblin, who, as
seemed quite sensible for a delivery quite literally on the opposite
end of a continent, was a mage and able to take them to Silvermoon very
quickly. It turned out the goblin spent most of her time either
studying magecraft, or thanks to her talents, doing travel and rarely
spent long at Booty Bay.
Yunhua picked up the items from the company vault (Only slightly
confused when told, “You’re delivering to TAE? Good luck!”) and met the
goblin mage outside to be ported to the north.
As they searched for the address listed, Myzzi confessed that she didn’t
know who or what “TAE” meant, so it must not have been all that
important.
They at last found the residence and Myzzi politely knocked on the door.
After a very long pause, a surly looking elf opened the door and eyed
the two with mild confusion. “Who are you?”
Something about his manner reminded Yunhua of her Uncle Zhu after he’d
had too many glasses of his “special blend ale.” However, Yunhua bowed
politely to their customer; Myzzi imitated her.
“Bowing, yes, yes, but more importantly answering the question... you do want to live don't you?”
“Hullo! I'm Myzzi Kanzelry with AAMS. This is my partner Yunhua. We have
a delivery for a.. Tae?” Myzzi looked to Yunhua for confirmation; the
pandaren frowned.
“Tae?” the man repeated. “There is no Tae here.” He shut the door on
their faces. Inside, they could hear whistling as he walked away.
“Well, that was most odd,” Yunhua blurted.
“Are you sure it’s Tae?” Myzzi asked.
“That what was on the paper. There was a name listed as well.”
“Oh, what’s the name? That might help.”
Yunhua pulled at the paper to peer at it again. “Here it is.
Moradinel. Right next to the 'from Kanzelry,' which is why I found
you."
“Right.. let's again I guess? This is the right place, yeah? I'd rather not face this guy again if it isn't ya know?”
“Is there any other place near here?”
Myzzi looked around; there was no other building that could be mistaken for the right one. “Right.” She knocked again.
It was an even longer pause this time. “Do you think he heard me?” Myzzi asked Yunhua, just as the door was opened.
“Are you lost?” The same elf asked, looking down at Myzzi.
“Maybe. We're looking for a Moradinel, can you help us?”
“Which Moradinel?”
“Err…” Myzzi hesitated and looked at Yunhua, who frantically looked at the paperwork again. There was more that one?
“Tren-e-tir…” she read carefully and looked up at the elf.
“Well, if you’re not sure, I think you should go.”
Myzzi smiled and turned to the elf, saying confidently, “Trenetir Moradinel is the name on the paperwork.”
It only earned her another glare. “Well, then, let’s have it.”
Myzzi offered over the package: a worn book called “Meditation and Peace
of Mind,” plus a sealed envelope with Trenetir’s name on front. As
the elf examined the items, she leaned back and whispered, “Are you sure
that said from Kanzelry?”
“My studies in Orcish have come along quite nicely,” Yunhua defended.
Trenetir (Yunhua hoped it was Trenetir) looked up from the letter. “Leave. Now,” he said curtly.
“Right, no problem, contact us if you have a reply!” Myzzi seemed eager to leave.
“A good eve to you,” Yunhua added. It hardly seemed like a dangerous delivery at all.
As they walked away, she heard Myzzi ponder, “Wonder why Kez would do that.”
“She did take leave.” Yunhua shrugged.
“She did?”
“Well, when I asked for a 'Kanzelry,' I was told you were the only one available.”
A worried look crossed Myzzi’s face. “I need to get back to the office and find my sister!”
Yunhua began to wonder if she should ask what TAE meant...
